How Does UVCraft Work?

A controlled and traceable process.

  1. Application Assessment

The appropriate system is determined by assessing the environment, workflow and target surfaces.

  2. Dose and Distance Planning

The appropriate UV-C dose, distance and exposure time for the application are planned.

  3. Controlled UV-C Cycle

The system applies controlled UV-C for a specified duration; the cycle is controlled.

  4. Process Record

Visual monitoring and status indicators make it possible to track progress.

WHY UV-C?

Airport terminals, shopping centres and coach stations play a direct role in the global spread of diseases. The luggage of people travelling by air carries millions of viruses. Eliminating these viruses is crucial in preventing the spread of disease. These devices, which eliminate viruses, help to ensure that your journey is safe.

Unlike other similar devices, tests have been carried out in a laboratory setting using the coronavirus and similar viruses to determine the device’s effectiveness against viruses and bacteria.

  • 01 UV-C is ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 200–280 nm. The lamps in our devices emit light at 253.7 nm; this wavelength damages the DNA/RNA structure of bacteria and viruses, thereby preventing them from multiplying.
  • 02 Surface disinfection using UV-C has been a method used in hospitals and laboratories for many years.
  • 03 UVCraft devices are designed to disinfect frequently touched surfaces without the use of chemicals.
  • 04 Laboratory tests: Our escalator handrail device has been tested against coronaviruses at the laboratories of Erciyes University (2020) and TÜBİTAK MAM (2021). Test reports are available on request.

It has been observed that when UV-C light is applied to the coronavirus at specific distances and for specific durations, the virus does not replicate on living cells and remains inactivated for 24 hours. It has been observed that the virus begins to replicate again when UV-C light is not delivered at a specific energy threshold. The tests carried out have been validated, unlike those of other similar devices.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The most frequently asked questions about the use, safety and maintenance of UVCraft devices.

What are the applications of UV-Craft products, and on which surfaces can they be used?

It can be used in any venue with carpets or flooring, particularly at airports, shopping centres, business centres, coach stations, hospitals, places of worship, hotels, nurseries and schools.

What is the surface/area on which the product is effective, and what is the application distance?

The working distance should be equal to the distance between the protective wire located beneath the machine and the floor. The machine must not be operated whilst its wheels are off the ground.

Does it leave any residue or marks on the surface after application?

No.

How is UV-C treatment made safe for human health? What safety precautions should be taken during use?

Human health is not affected solely by visible dirt; the points where bacteria enter the body—and where infections are actually contracted—are invisible. Thanks to UV treatment, bacteria and viruses at these invisible points are eliminated. An example of this is a previously conducted, approved test demonstrating that COVID-19 is inactivated by UV light. The precaution to take during use is to avoid direct contact. One must not look directly at any active UV light, nor should the body come into contact with the light.

Does the area need to be empty whilst the product is being used? What are the conditions for use in areas where people or animals are present?

The area should be as clear as possible. For the sake of proper sterilisation and human health, the procedure should be carried out in clear spaces. Provided there is no direct contact and every surface can be properly sterilised, the procedure may be carried out even in the presence of people.

What is the application period and the average operational capacity of a product?

The application time varies depending on the area to be cleaned.

Do the products require periodic maintenance or calibration?

Over time, maintenance may be required should the UV lamps or consumables become deformed or their service life be reduced due to use. There is no need for calibration.

Is there a feature such as a mobile app or remote control?

No.

Is any training provided to the customer on how to set up and use the product?

Yes.

Are there any specific guidelines or procedures in place for different types of premises, such as hotels, schools, hospitals and factories?

No.

Let’s work together to identify the right UV-C solution for your premises.
